Strong Measure To Prevent Spreading Of Drug Cases In Educational Institutions

Hyderabad, Jan 11 (Maxim News): Minister for Education, Sabitha Indra Reddy expressed concern that the drug cases are gradually spreading like water under the carpet in educational institutions, she said that the state government is very serious on the drug menace and taking all measures for the prevention of narcotics.

She said that anti-narcotics awareness seminars are being organized across the state of Telangana. She said that hooligans act in many ways to harass school and college girls and if the affected girls complain to the SHE team, immediate action will be taken against the accused. She pointed out that earlier there used to be ragging in colleges, but now there is no ragging. She claimed that people are sleeping comfortably in their homes at night because of the police. She said that apart from maintaining peace and security, the police are also playing their role in social activities. An anti-drug awareness program was organized at SYR Garden under MeerPet Police Station in which the Minister has participated.

Rachakonda Commissioner of Police, DS Chauhan said that the use of drugs is very dangerous. He warned that even if it gives happiness in the beginning, the health will be completely damaged gradually. He said that due to taking drugs, they will lose health as well as finances. Cell phones should also be used as needed. He warned that if young men and women use cell phones for hours, many problems will arise. He also advised people not to make friends on social media with people whom they do not know. He said that extensive awareness programs will be conducted in the Rachakonda Commissionerate on narcotics and cyber frauds. (Maxim News)
