Submit report on water needs to industrial clusters by Jan 27: CS
Hyderabad, Jan.21 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary SK Joshi today instructed officials concerned to submit a report by January 27 on the water requirements with map details for 59 industrial clusters in the State.
At a review meeting on Mission Bhagiratha at the Secretariat today, the Chief Secretary said the flagship program has to be completed as per schedule. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao directed supply of purified waters to every household in the villages. He also asked them to coordinate with other wings for effective implementation of the Mission Bhagiratha program in the districts.
The Chief Secretary asked the officials concerned to prepare short-term, middle and long-term plans for industrial requirements based on raw and treated waters in the State through TSIIC. The plan to provide waters to clusters, include Pharma City, NIMZ, Textile Park, Medical Devices Park, MSME, Electronic Manufacturing, Chandan Valley Industrial Park and others. “Estimate and ensure bulk water supply to clusters on demand for 20 to 25 years through internal TSIIC. The Government is to supply purified waters to 23,968 habitations in 118 urban local bodies in 12,755 gram panchayats as per the Chief Minister’s direction”, he said.
The CS also directed the officials to expedite the works and supply Mission Bhagiratha waters to areas beyond ORR and Metro Water Works to those areas within it, including colonies, gated communities, ULBs and others. The GHMC and HMDA have to coordinate for effective water supply through reservoirs at the required places on demand and conduct sample check of waters, the CS directed.
