Sunday to be a Diwali Holiday, Says Election Commission
Hyderabad, Nov 11 (Maxim News): The Central Election Commission has canceled the Diwali holiday. The Election Commission has rejected the state government’s proposal to give a holiday on Monday.
It has been clarified that Diwali holiday will be given on Sunday itself.
The Central Election Commission has announced that if a holiday is declared, the programs on that day will not be able to be organized smoothly, hence the state government’s proposal is rejected. (Maxim News)
