Sunstroke Claims Nine Lives In Telangana

Adilabad/Hyderabad, April 22 (Maxim News): Sunstroke claimed lives of nine persons across Telangana on Monday. Three persons died due to sunstroke in three incidents that occurred in erstwhile Adilabad district.

In the first instance. Nigulapu shankar (48) and his brother Nigulapu raju (42) from Kurannapet in Nirmal town succumbed to sunstroke. They initially fell unconscious and were declared dead by doctors.

While Shankar is survived by a wife and daughter, Raju has a wife and two daughters.

In the second instance, Chavan Keshav (60) breathed his last while asleep. He was taking rest after returning home from work under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act at Bheempur village of Adilabad district in the afternoon at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, Udige Ailamma (59) from Gollapalli village in Shankarapatnam mandal of Karimnagar district and Hanumandla Premalatha (62) of Cherlapalem in Mahbubnagar district lost lives to the sunstroke.

Similarly, two elderly persons from Khammam and Nagarkurnool district reportedly died of sunstroke on Monday. (Maxim News)
