Surplus Telangana gives more salaries: KCR slams Oppn

Hyderabad, Oct.7 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today claimed that Telangana is the surplus State as it offers more salaries to its employees and also to GHMC workers. After Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi in the Assembly, KCR said that the government is able to provide more salaries to the employees and workers at a lower level, he claimed.

In addition to Rs 1 water tap connection for the poor, we plan to offer 24 hour water supply in future, he said.

He took potshots at the opposition parties for their continuous charges and false allegations on development programs.

He said that the government increased the salaries of ZP members, ZPTCs, MPPs and sarpanches of village panchayats. Though we spent huge funds for the villages and towns the opposition parties are trying to mud-slinging as they cannot see development, he said.

KCR slammed the Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka comment of no development funds reaching the villages. KCR said that the government sent Rs 277 crore funds to the village panchayats and about Rs 115 crore to municipalities every month. The CM said that he directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, finance secretary and panchayat secretary and officials with the minister to address the issues of the rural areas with regard to development. The state government did not stop funds meant for the villages and greenery with necessary steps.

From the Centre, finance commission and state funds would be used and the officials can adjust the same to see that development is not stopped in the villages.

We will take stern action on the officials and people representatives in the villages and towns on greenery protection. He asked Mallu and other members in the house to give details of the villages which failed to protect the plants after the green drive. There are reports that about 90 percent of saplings planted were protected and if any village failed we will take action against the elected representatives and officials concerned, he announced.

Irrespective of the parties we took up green drive, roads, and other development programs in all the segments in the state. (Maxim News)
