Hyderabad, Oct. 31: A 32-year-old shepherd died after being struck by lightning near Macharam village in Penpahad mandal of Suryapet district on Friday night. The incident has left the village in mourning.
The deceased was identified as Dhubani Nagaraju, a resident of Macharam village. He worked as a shepherd to support his family.
According to reports, Nagaraju had gone to the outskirts of the village on Friday evening to guard his flock of sheep. He reportedly slept near a stone pond while keeping watch over the animals.

Nagaraju was struck by lightning during the night and died on the spot. Local residents discovered his body on Saturday morning when they reached the area.
The news of his death shocked his family members and villagers. Nagaraju was reportedly the main support for his family, and his sudden death has left his loved ones devastated.
