TADJAC Plans ‘Chalo Tank Bund Million March’ Protest On June 2

Hyderabad, Jan.12 (Maxim News): The Telangana State Auto Drivers JAC said it would organize “Chalo Tank Bund Million March” protest on June 2 if the State government failed to enforce total prohibition in the State before the Telangana Formation Celebrations, in support of the demand. Meanwhile, a signature campaign of those desirous of participating in the proposed Million March started from today.

Referring to Saturday’s tragic incident where an alcoholic strangulated his five-year-old daughter Yamini to take revenge against his wife for not giving him money for buying liquor, TADJAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao should own responsibility for the innocent child’s death and should either enforce prohibition or resign from post in the public interest.

Alleging that drinking habit was the main reason for the increasing number of road accidents and crimes, the TDJAC convener said Chief Minister should enforce prohibition and see smiles and happiness on the faces of the Telangana people. Besides, the Chief Minister frequently talks about golden Telangana, but in practice he was taking the State towards drunkards Telangana. (Maxim News)
