The Hyderabad Police Detective Department on Tuesday arrested Pediripati Shekar (38) of Shamshabad for cheating a person of Rs 1.10 crore on the pretext of selling a land parcel.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh after questioning him for over 12 hours at its office, in connection with a money laundering and corruption case against him.
Two more persons were on Wednesday arrested in connection with the Lakhimpur violence, while a court here denied bail to the main accused, Ashish Mishra, son of Union minister Ajay Mishra.
