The city police stopped MP A. Revanth Reddy who was going to Gandhi Hospital to distribute food to Covid 19 patients and their family members. The act of the police led to an argument between the MP and Begumpet police.

The city police said that no permission has been given for Holi celebrations in Hyderabad in the wake of prevailing COVID-19 situation in the state. The police also warned of strict action against those violating rules.

All the wine shops, bars and toddy shops will be closed for two days in Hyderabad in the view of Holi festival, said Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar.

Hyderabad City Police today seized huge consignment of explosive detonators from Falaknuma area of the city. On a tip off, the police raided an illegal detonator manufacturing center in the area and seized 1000 kgs of detonators.
