Heavy rainfall in the upstream Krishna River basin has triggered significant inflows into the Priyadarshini Jurala Project in Jogulamba Gadwal district, prompting authorities to lift 12 gates of the dam to manage the rising water levels.

Nalgonda/Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Maxim News): The Nagarjunasagar project has achieved full capacity due to heavy flood coming from above, as a result, the authorities raised the 12 gates of the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir by five feet.
