The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suffered a setback ahead of the Jubilee Hills bypoll with its former joint convenor Cherka Mahesh resigning from the party on Saturday.

BJP has suffered a major setback in Hyderabad's suburban Shamshabad Municipality. Kolanu Pradeep Reddy, a senior BJP leader in the municipality, has joined BRS.

BRS senior leader Kuna Venkatesh Goud has said goodbye to the party. He is very unhappy with the party's behavior and will soon join the TDP.
