Tamilisai Greets People on Sankranti Festival

Hyderabad, Jan.14 (Maxim News): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan today extended greetings to Telugu people on Makar Sankranti festival. In a press release here, the Governor said that the people will celebrate three days of Sankranti with happiness amid enthusiasm.

In the release from Raj Bhavan, the Governor said –I extend my heartiest wishes and greetings to you all on the auspicious occasion of Sankranti festival.

I wish the Sankranti, which is the Festival of Harvest, may bring in abundant happiness, prosperity, and health to you all.

The Makar Sankranti has a great significance in our cultural horizon and is celebrated with a lot of gaiety and jubilation.

Sankranti celebrations represent the best in our ancient and glorious tradition and binds all sections together, she said. May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in all of us, the Governor said.

I appeal to all the people to strictly follow the COVID-appropriate behaviour and prevent the spread of the Omicron variant thus containing the pandemic duly following the Covid appropriate behaviour.
