Tata Motors today announced that it has ended discussions on partnership plan with Skoda Auto following technical feasibility and degree of synergies issues.
Tata Motors and Skoda had performed a joint technical feasibility study and commercial evaluation for a potential collaboration. Based on intense and constructive discussions, they have jointly concluded that the envisioned areas of partnership may not yield the desired synergies as originally assessed, Tata Motors said in a statement.
However, talks between India’s largest automobile company by revenue and Skoda’s parent, Volkswagen Group, are ongoing.
