Teachers Retirement Age Limit Increase Bill Approved
Hyderabad, Sept.14 (Maxim News): Telangana Assembly today approved the bill related to the enhancement of retirement age limit of teachers working in government medical colleges of the state from the present 58 years to 65 years. The state finance minister T. Harish Rao introduced the Telangana Public Employment (regulation of age on superannuation) bill 2020 in the house and urged the members to approve it. He said that the bill would benefit the teachers working in five government medical colleges of the state.
He also said that the bill would help them continue the services of 52 experienced teachers from the five medical colleges of the state. He said that the state government had decided to enhance the age limit due to the increase in the number of retired teachers and delay in taking up the fresh recruitment due to court cases. He told the house that inspection on the number it teachers and infrastructure at medical colleges is being done every in the state and added that the colleges would get medical Seats on the basis of the inspection report.
