Council Passes Revenue Bill

Hyderabad, Sept.14 (Maxim News): Telangana Legislature Council today approved the much anticipated new Revenue Bill that was already passed by the Assembly

Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy informed the house that the revenue bill was passed. The house also passed other bills such as cancellation of Telangana VROs and panchayat raj amendment Bill, the chairman said.

Earlier, Chief Minister K Chandra sekhar Rao has introduced the bill in the house. The house took up debate on the same and members made some suggestions and sought clarifications. The Chief Minister said that the new revenue bill will offer complete and transparent services for people. The aim of the bill is to give corruption free and speedy services for people in the state. With this new Bill centuries long problems of lands and revenue will come to a halt, he reiterated.

The people have faced corruption problem which will be checked now with the new Bill he said. He clarified that Tahasildars do not have powers to make changes in Dharani official portal. The government plans to hassle free land and revenue services sans corruption, the Chief Minister said. (Maxim News)
