A major technical glitch in several IndiGo aircraft and other airlines caused heavy disruption at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The disruption affected nearly 1,000 passengers. Many of them stayed inside the terminal with no clear updates on rescheduling. The airlines arranged accommodation only late in the night. Meanwhile, travellers heading to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi faced severe delays. People with connecting international flights suffered the most. Several passengers missed their visa interviews and connecting flights because of the long wait.

The Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight faced one of the longest delays. It was scheduled just after midnight but remained on the runway for almost two hours. The aircraft later returned to the bay, and the crew asked passengers to deboard. The affected passengers waited inside the terminal for further information. The delay added to the growing frustration among travellers who had no clarity on when operations would return to normal.

The airline operators have not yet released any official statement on the exact cause of the technical malfunction. The lack of a clear explanation has raised concerns among passengers who want to know how the issue escalated so quickly. The grounded flights and unexpected cancellations showed how a sudden glitch can affect daily airport operations. The incident also highlighted the need for timely communication during large-scale disruptions.

As passengers waited for updates, airport staff tried to manage the situation. However, the lack of detailed information continued to cause distress. The affected travellers are now hoping for quicker recovery and better coordination in the coming hours.
