Teens Leave Home After Being Scolded in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl and her younger brother ran away from their home in Mudfort, Karkhana, after being scolded by their parents for spending too much time on social media.

The incident happened on April 14. Upset by the scolding, the siblings left the house without telling anyone. Worried about their safety, the parents immediately approached the Karkhana police and filed a complaint.

Traced in Just 24 Hours

Police quickly began their search. With the help of CCTV footage and digital clues, they tracked the children’s movements and found them in Nalgonda within 24 hours.

The police brought them back safely and reunited them with their parents on Thursday.

Police also advised parents to maintain open communication with their children and encouraged youngsters to speak up if they’re feeling upset, instead of taking extreme steps like running away.
