Hyderabad: High-level preparations for the Telangana State Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council sessions concluded on Sunday.
Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy and Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar chaired a review meeting to ensure smooth administrative and security operations.
The sessions are scheduled to begin on December 29 following this comprehensive coordination exercise at the Assembly Committee Hall.
Principal Secretary Sandeep Sultanian attended the proceedings representing the state government alongside senior police officials and legislative secretaries.
Authorities Implement Strict Security Measures for Assembly Sessions
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar directed government departments to provide prompt responses to inquiries raised by legislators during the upcoming sessions.
He emphasized that department heads must remain present to assist ministers with necessary inputs during policy discussions.
The Speaker instructed the police department to maintain strict vigil and gather intelligence to prevent disruptions.
Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy requested the appointment of nodal officers to streamline communication between various government wings. Law enforcement agencies received specific orders to prevent unauthorized protests and “Chalo Assembly” programs near the high-security zone.
Police commissioners from Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda confirmed that traffic management plans are ready to facilitate easy movement for members.
