Telangana Assembly Special Session From March 1: Three Bills To Be Approved

Hyderabad, Feb 20 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has taken a key decision for reservations for backward classes and classification of SCs. The government has decided to hold special sessions from March 1 to 5.

In this special session, bills providing 42 percent reservation for BCs in local bodies, education, and employment sectors, and the SC classification bill will be proposed.  

These bills will be approved after discussion in the Assembly. Then they will be sent to the central government for approval. The bill will be prepared based on the report of the commission in the wake of the extension of the one-member commission regarding the classification of SCs. This bill will be transformed into an act after the approval of the assembly. In addition, bills providing 42 percent reservation for BCs will also be tabled in the assembly for approval. It is reported that the relevant officials are engaged in the drafting of these three bills. These three draft laws will be finalized in the state cabinet meeting to be held soon.  (Maxim News)
