Telangana: Central team assessing flood damage

Hyderabad, July 21: A six-person central team came to the city to evaluate the damage brought on by the recent floods in the districts of Adilabad and Bhadradri-Kothagudem.

During their journey to Telangana, the team would stop by Nirmal, Mancherial, and Kaddam Project in Adilabad and Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri-Kothagudem to assess the situation on the ground.

Heavy inflows from the Maharashtra basin and upstream regions were received by the Kaddam Project. Due to floodwaters from the River Godavari in the Bhadradri-Kothagudem area, several villages in Bhadrachalam were submerged.
