Hyderabad: Telangana reports 948 fresh coronavirus cases and five new deaths until 8 pm on Tuesday taking the cumulative number of cases to 2,59,776 and the death toll to 1,415.
The recovery cases went up to 2,45,293 with the recovery of 1,607 persons in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 13,068 active cases of which 10,710 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Monday and Tuesday, around 42,433 tests were conducted including 18,670 on primary contacts and 5,091 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 948 turned positive and the reports of 807 are awaited. So far, 49,72,407 samples have been in the state.
The positive cases reported include from 154 from GHMC, 83 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 76 from Rangareddy, 61 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 55 from Karimnagar, 45 from Nalgonda, 44 from Khammam, 40 from Warangal Urban, 38 from Sangareddy, 27 from Jagtial, 26 from Mancherial, 25 from Kamareddy, 24 from Suryapet, 22 each from Peddapalli and Siddipet, 18 from Mulugu, 16 from Nagarkurnool, 14 each from Adilabad, Vikarabad and Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 13 from Nizamabad, 12 each from Warangal Rural and Yadadri Bhongir, 11 each from Wanaparthy, Mahaboobnagar and Mahabubabad, 9 each from Sircilla and Jangaon, 8 from Jogulambad Gadwal, 5 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 4 from Narayanpet.
