Telangana Covid-19 update: 983 new cases, 11 deaths

Hyderabad: Corona boom continues in Telangana. According to the details revealed by the Telangana State Medical and Health Department this morning 983 new Covid-19 infections and 11 fatalities till Sunday night reported ,the overall death toll to 551 and the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 67,660.

Health authorities have been consistently conducting over 20,000 Covid-19 tests on a daily basis. However, between Saturday and Sunday night, according to the health bulletin, 9443 Covid-19 tests were conducted while reports of 1,414 are pending.

As many as 1019 persons have recovered between Saturday and Sunday night, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 48,609 with a recovery rate of 71.8 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 65.44 per cent.

At present, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the State is 18,500 out of which 11,911 persons are under home isolation. Close to 84 per cent of the positive patients who are in home isolation are asymptomatic.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 16 from Adilabad, 16 from Bhadradri, 273 from areas under GHMC, 12 from Jagtiyal, 13 from Jangaon, 12 from Bupalapally, 12 from Gadwal, 28 from Kamareddy, 54 from Karimnagar, 23 from Khammam, seven from Komarambheem Asifabad, 21 from Mahabubnagar, 18 from Mahabubabad, one from Mancherial, 18 from Medak, 48 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 14 from Mulugu, 32 from Nagarkurnool, 11 from Nalgonda, two from Narayanpet, two from Nirmal, 42 from Nizamabad, 44 from Peddapally, 20 from Siricilla, 73 from Rangareddy, 37 from Sangareddy, six from Siddipet, 11 from Suryapet, four from Vikarabad, 26 from Wanaparthy, 25 from Warangal Rural, 57 from Warangal Urban and five cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
