Telangana Covid Update: 592 New Cases and 3 Deaths

Telangana reported 592 fresh coronavirus positive cases and three new deaths in the state taking the total number of coronavirus cases to 2,81,414 while the death toll to 1,513. Meanwhile, the overall recoveries went up to 2,73,013 with 643 persons getting recovered in a single day. Currently, there are 6,888 active cases out of which 4,719 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Friday and Saturday, 41,970 tests were conducted including 18,666 on primary contacts and 5,036 on secondary contacts. However, the reports of 592 turned positive and the results of 515 are awaited. So far, 2,81,414 tests have been conducted in the state.

Meanwhile, the positive cases reported across the state include 119 from GHMC, 70 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 57 from Rangareddy, 40 from Warangal Urban, 26 from Karimnagar, 20 each from Khammam and Siddipet, 18 each from Peddapalli, Nalgonda, 14 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Suryapet and Yadadri Bhongir, 13 each from Mancherial and Nizamabad, 12 each from Jagtial and Nagarkurnool, 11 each from Adilabad and Sangareddy, 10 from Mahabubnagar, 9 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 8 from Mahabubabad, 7 eaqch from Jangaon, Kamareddy, Medak, Mulugu and Warangal Rural, 6 each from Rajanna Sircilla and Vikarabad, 5 each from Wanaparthy, 3 from Komarambheem Asifabad and one from Narayanpet.
