Telangana: Digital Health Card To Everyone Above 18 Years

Hyderabad, Feb 7 (Maxim News): The Medical and Health Department plans to create digital health records for the people of the state.

As part of this, the state government headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has decided to provide digital health cards to everyone above the age of 18 and assign a unique identification number.  In this context, the top officials of the state medical and health department focused on the guidelines.

As part of digital records preparation activities, various aspects are being examined. The state government hopes to provide better emergency medical services through the record along with providing comprehensive information on people’s health status. A senior official of the department said that through this, there will be complete clarity on the health problems of the people, the treatment to be provided, the medical facilities to be improved, the policy decisions to be taken, the allocation of funds, the priority given to the medical and health department, etc.

It has been revealed that they are working on the basic aspects required to create digital health cards. Through the health card, the health of the concerned person, medical conditions, previous medical treatment, medicines used, problem, doctor’s opinion, and analysis are all available in the form of a digital record.

All these details will be immediately known to the doctors in government hospitals wherever they go for treatment in the state, so there will be an opportunity for better treatment and medical services. The card will be linked with Aarogyashree and Aadhaar.

The method of information collection is that Field health workers go door to door to collect and record personal details.  Along with details like height, length, weight, blood and urine tests are done and health problems are identified and recorded through them.

Apart from lifestyle diseases like BP and diabetes, many other health problems are detected.  Other medical tests are also done if required.  If there are problems, they are registered and treated.  This is how personal records are created. After that, they will be provided with necessary medical care.  the details of going to any government hospital for treatment will be immediately available by registering the identification number. Apart from the personal medicine of the people, there is also an opportunity to identify health problems in various forms, seasonal diseases, and precautions that need to be taken in advance, according to relevant sources. In this context of securing ‘digital data’, the state medical and health department will focus on this in coordination with the IT department.  (Maxim News)
