Telangana High Court | Hyderabad, July 31: In a formal ceremony held at the Telangana High Court, four newly appointed judges were sworn in today.
Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh administered the oath of office to Justice Gadi Praveen Kumar, Justice V. Ramakrishna Reddy, Justice Suddala Chalapathi Rao, and Justice Ghouse Mira Mohiuddin.
The event was attended by several sitting judges, senior advocates, and members of the legal fraternity.
The appointments were made following a recommendation by the Supreme Court Collegium, which proposed the elevation of these practicing High Court advocates.
The proposal was approved by President Droupadi Murmu on July 28, increasing the strength of judges in the Telangana High Court to 30. The sanctioned strength is 42.

Justice V. Ramakrishna Reddy
Born on September 14, 1970, in Kondamadugu village of Bibinagar mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Justice Ramakrishna Reddy holds a B.Com and LLB. He enrolled as an advocate in 1997 and began his legal career under senior advocate A. Anantha Reddy. Since 2005, he has been practicing independently in the erstwhile AP High Court, and later in the High Courts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He also appeared in City Civil, Ranga Reddy, and Secunderabad courts and served as counsel for the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Justice Ghouse Mira Mohiuddin
A native of Balanagar in Hyderabad, Justice Mira Mohiuddin was born in 1969. She was enrolled with the Joint AP Bar Council in 1993. A seasoned legal practitioner, she continues to serve as a Standing Counsel for the Telangana Bar Council.

Justice Suddala Chalapathi Rao
Born on June 25, 1971, in Jangaon, Justice Chalapathi Rao began his legal journey in 1998. He initially trained under Advocate Y. Rama Rao until 2004. He practiced law in the High Court as well as Ranga Reddy and City Civil Courts. He also served as standing counsel for various institutions, including Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University.
Justice Gadi Praveen Kumar
Born in 1971 in Bheengal village, Nizamabad district, Justice Praveen Kumar holds a law degree from Kakatiya University and an LLM from Osmania University. Enrolled in 1998, he has represented key Central Government departments such as Defense, Home, and Labor & Employment. He has also appeared for institutions like the ED, India Government Mint, and the Security Printing Press. He was serving as Deputy Solicitor General prior to his elevation.
