Telangana Implementing Many Schemes For Development Of Minorities: KCR

Hyderabad, June 2 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that his government is providing the fruits of development and welfare to the Minorities without discrimination or neglect, and established trust by implementing many schemes for the development of minorities.

107 special residential schools for minority boys and 97 for girls have been set up. Telangana has become number one in the country in the education of minority girls. A total of 10,000 people are being given a living allowance of Rs. 5,000 per month to Imams and Maujans. The Minority Finance Corporation is implementing programs such as Own Your auto, Driver empowerment Scheme, Overseas Scholarship etc. The government officially organizes Ramadan and Christmas celebrations and provides new clothes to the poor Muslims and Christians. The Telangana government has recently given minority status to the Jains and they are happy. This is the rationale behind the policy of interfaith reconciliation being followed by the Telangana government.

On the occasion of Telangana Independence Day, KCR formally started Telangana Independence Decade celebrations by unfurling the National flag at the Secretariat in Hyderabad. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister explained the efforts of his government for the welfare of all the communities

KCR said that in the combined Andhra Pradesh state there was series of suicides, after the formation of Telangana state, the government has undertaken many welfare and relief programs to bring light to the lives of the people. while the Central government is giving only 10 per cent subsidy on yarn and dyes to handloom workers, the Telangana government is providing 40 per cent subsidy under Cheneta Mitra scheme. In addition to this, apart from providing loan facility to weavers of zero interest, from 2010 to 2017 we have waived off loans upto Rs. one lakh taken by each handloom workers from national banks and district cooperative banks. since 2017, we have been entrusting the manufacture of Bathukamma sarees to weavers to provide employment and support them. Till ow under this program Rs. 1,727 crores were provided, he said.

Telangana government has also taken up the rearing of fish and shrimp fry in all the reservoirs of the state. the rights over them have been provided to the fishermen and light has been brought to their lives. The Government has spent Rs. 500 crores for fish farming. The families of fishermen who die in an accident will be given Rs. 4 lakhs, the government is standing by providing ex-gratia at the rate of another Rs. 5 lakhs, a total of Rs. 9 lakhs.

Implementing many welfare programs for the Gowda who depend on the profession on stone carving. when the Telangana government was formed, the Kallu shops in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts which were closed in the Union State were reopened. This has sustained the employment of thousands of stone masons.

It has abolished tree tax for the welfare of stone quarry workers. Tax arrears have also been waived. 15 per cent reservation has been given to the Gowda in allotment of wine shops unlike anywhere elese in the country. this allowed the Gowda to stand strong in the business sector. Rs. 800 crore as pensions to 65,668 Geetha workers in the State. similar to Rythu Bima.

KCR said that he is supporting the poor Brahmins who live by trusting the temples through the Dhupadipa Naiveyam scheme. It has been mentioned that the priests who perform duties in the temples run by the Devadaya and Charitable Department are paid monthly salaries from the govenrment treasury.

Sanskrit university in the name of Ma Mahopadhyaya Kolachala Mallinatha suri will be starting in hs home town of Medak district Kolcharam. he said that the government has taken a decision to increase the monthly honorarium given to Vedic/Sastra Scholars by the Brahmin Parishad from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 5,000. The government has reduced the eligibility age for this allowance from 75 years to 65 years.

KCR said there is no other state in the country that can match Telangana in terms of Gurukul education. He said that Gurukula Vidyalaya system, which started with the vision of PV Narasimha Rao, he said that 1,002 Gurukula Junior Colleges in Telangana has been established.

Chief Minister in his lengthy speech has said that Telangana is number one in all the fields comparing to all other states in the country, it is only state which is showing rapid progress in the field of education, industries, agriculture, power sector, irrigation, sports, due to which the people of the state are more developed and in the per capita income, it stands number one in the country. All this achievement has been made in 9 years after the formation of Telangana state. he also claimed that the state is number in maintaining peace and law and order, he said. (Maxim News)
