Hyderabad: Telangana State Election Commission (SEC) on Thursday launched the TE-Poll mobile application to make it easier for citizens to submit election-related complaints ahead of upcoming municipal elections. The app allows voters to report grievances directly from their phones, or they can use the official website, tsec.gov.in, to lodge complaints.
The municipal polls are scheduled for 11 February across seven municipal corporations and 116 municipalities. Vote counting will take place on 13 February. The SEC emphasized that the app will improve transparency and speed in addressing citizen complaints. Officials hope this initiative will encourage greater voter participation and ensure fair conduct during the elections.

Citizens can submit complaints about irregularities, violations, or other issues using the TE-Poll app. The SEC stated that this digital platform will allow real-time tracking and faster resolution of reported issues. “The app provides a direct channel for voters to communicate with election authorities,” an official said. The commission also stressed that timely responses through the platform will strengthen trust in the electoral process.
Meanwhile, the SEC encouraged all eligible voters to download the app ahead of polling day. It aims to streamline election management and reduce administrative bottlenecks. The move is part of the commission’s broader efforts to integrate technology into electoral processes, ensuring a smoother and more accountable voting experience.
By integrating digital tools like the TE-Poll app, Telangana is leveraging technology to enhance citizen engagement and monitor election integrity. With municipal polls approaching, officials are preparing to use the app to efficiently address complaints and maintain the credibility of the electoral process.
