Telangana Ministers Urge Governor to Approve 42% BC Reservation Bill

Hyderabad, Sept 1 (Maxim News): Ministers and MLAs met Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma at Raj Bhavan today (Monday). They submitted a petition for the approval of the bill to increase BC reservations by 42 percent.

Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, government whips Adi Srinivas, Beerla Ilayya, Mahesh Kumar Goud, CPI Narayana, and MLC Nellikanti Satyam met Governor Jishnu Dev Verma. None of the BJP leaders attended the meeting with Governor Jishnu Dev Verma.

Earlier, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar spoke to the media. He criticized BRS as a feudal party. He said that it is not right to obstruct it like this when the BC issue comes up for discussion. He said that society is watching. He said that BRS’s respect and attitude towards BCs is becoming clear. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar suggested not to obstruct 42 percent reservations.

They questioned why BRS leaders did not participate in the caste census survey. They flagged that they were speaking with knives in their stomachs. They asked BRS to support 42 percent reservations for BCs. They questioned what was the method of blocking the BC bill. They were fired for making a mockery of democracy. They said that the BRS party may not like BC reservations. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar criticized the conspiracy to block BC reservations as unfortunate. (Maxim News)
