Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal Polling concluded on February 11, with authorities allowing voters in queues before 5 pm to cast their votes. Barring isolated incidents, polling for the municipal elections ended peacefully across the state.
Polling was held for a total of seven corporations and 116 municipalities in Telangana. Officials ensured that those who were standing in queues before the 5 pm deadline were given the opportunity to vote. As a result, the process continued smoothly until the last eligible voter exercised the franchise.
Meanwhile, election authorities confirmed that counting of votes will be carried out at 136 centers. The counting process will begin at 8 am on the 13th of this month. Therefore, results for the municipal corporations and municipalities are expected after the completion of counting at these designated centers.
Later, the election of key civic posts will take place. The election of the corporation mayor, deputy mayor, municipal chairman and vice chairman will be held on the 16th. These posts will be filled following the declaration of results from the counting process.
Overall, barring isolated incidents, the municipal elections in Telangana concluded without major disturbances. Authorities completed polling across seven corporations and 116 municipalities as scheduled. With counting set for the 13th and leadership elections on the 16th, the focus now shifts to the outcome of the Telangana Municipal Polling process.
