Hyderabad, July 30: The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) has announced 7,437 vacancies across the Telangana Police, Special Protection Force (SPF), Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence, and Prisons and Correctional Services departments for the 2026 recruitment cycle.
The recruitment drive includes posts for Sub Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Police Constables, Fire Fighters, Station Fire Officers, Deputy Jailors, Warders, and SPF personnel. Online applications will be accepted through the TSLPRB website, while the application schedule will be announced separately.
The Police Department has notified 5,000 vacancies, including 148 Sub Inspectors (Civil), 14 Reserve Sub Inspectors (Armed Reserve), 12 Reserve Sub Inspectors (TGSP), three Reserve Sub Inspectors (SARCPL), 23 Assistant Sub Inspectors (Fingerprint Bureau), 3,697 Police Constables (Civil), 1,052 Police Constables (Armed Reserve), 24 Police Constables (SARCPL), 20 Police Constable (Driver) posts and seven Police Constable (Mechanic) posts.
The Special Protection Force will recruit 44 Sub Inspectors and 1,380 Constables.
The Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department has announced 39 Station Fire Officer posts and 751 Fire Fighter vacancies.
The Prisons and Correctional Services Department has notified 14 Deputy Jailor (Men) posts, one Deputy Jailor (Women) post, 196 Warder (Male) posts and 12 Warder (Female) posts.
Candidates applying under reservation categories should keep the required documents ready. These include Scheduled Caste community certificates with sub classification, Economically Weaker Section certificates, Non Creamy Layer certificates for Backward Class candidates, local candidature documents such as bonafide or residence certificates, and applicable special category certificates. The certificates must be issued by the Telangana government on or after April 1, 2026.
TSLPRB advised candidates to undergo a medical examination by a civil surgeon before submitting applications to ensure they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards.
Detailed notifications containing eligibility criteria, age limits, educational qualifications and recruitment guidelines have been issued separately for the respective departments. The board will announce the online application dates shortly.
