Telangana Rains: Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Key Orders

Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept 1 (Maxim News): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay has brought the situation of Khammam district to the notice of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the background of heavy rains in the state. Amit Shah ordered the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF)  to take all measures to prevent loss of life.

Bandi Sanjay informed Amit Shah that 110 villages were flooded in the Khammam district, he explained that 9 people were trapped on the Prakash Nagar mound in the town, 68 on the Ajmiratanda mound in Paleru constituency, and 42 on some other buildings. Amit Shah ordered the NDRF to take all measures to prevent loss of life in the state.

In this background, a total of 9 NDRF teams, 3 each from Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Assam, have been sent to Telangana.  Bandi Sanjay advised the NDRF teams to coordinate with the state authorities to carry out relief operations.  With this, the staff entered the field.  (Maxim News)
