Telangana Releases Results For 500 Specialist Doctor Posts

Hyderabad, July 28 (Maxim News): The Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) on Tuesday announced the final results for the recruitment of 500 Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist) posts in government hospitals under the Directorate of Secondary Health Care (Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad).

The recruitment is part of the Telangana government’s drive to strengthen specialist healthcare services across the state’s public hospitals.

The newly announced results cover 174 posts in General Surgery, 166 in General Medicine, 89 in Orthopedics, and 71 in Radiology.

Officials said the final selection list was released after completing certificate verification following the publication of the provisional merit list.

The list of selected candidates has been made available on the official website of the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB).

Telangana Strengthens Public Healthcare with Specialist Recruitment

The Telangana government had earlier issued a notification to recruit 1,616 Civil Assistant Surgeon (Specialist) posts across 24 medical specialties to address the shortage of specialist doctors in government hospitals and improve access to quality healthcare for the public.

As part of the recruitment drive, the selection process for 692 specialist posts in departments including Anaesthesiology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Orthopedics had already been completed.

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha had handed over appointment letters to the selected candidates, who have since been assigned postings across government healthcare institutions.

With the declaration of results for another 500 posts, the total number of specialist doctor appointments completed under the ongoing recruitment process has reached 1,192.

Congratulating the newly selected doctors, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha urged them to serve patients with dedication and commitment.

He said the government was focused on ensuring that poor and middle-class patients visiting government hospitals receive quality and timely medical care.

The minister reiterated that the state is committed to eliminating the shortage of specialist doctors in public hospitals.

He directed MHSRB officials to expedite the recruitment process for the remaining 424 specialist posts and complete the appointments at the earliest to further strengthen Telangana’s public healthcare system.

The recruitment initiative is expected to significantly improve specialist services in secondary healthcare institutions and enhance patient care across the state. (Maxim News)
