Telangana Remains Backward In Education Sector: KTR
Hyderabad, Sept.22 (Maxim News): Industries Minister KTR on Sunday spoke about CAG report in the Legislative Council. He said revenue receipts of the state government was reduced by Rs.24,259 crore. He also said the State was found to be backward in the Education sector.
KTR said as the State government had dependent a lot on loans, the responsibility to repay the debts had increased in the State. He said they had spent Rs.70,758 crore on the construction of the irrigation projects. He said the CAG report had revealed that the income and expenditure of the State government would drop when compared to the GSDP of the State.
KTR said the capital expenditure, which increased during the financial year 2016-17, reduced in the following financial year. Meanwhile, the Council approved the resolution pertaining to the ban on uranium extraction in the State. The resolution to this effect was introduced by KTR in the House. (Maxim News)
