Telangana Schools to Follow Half-Day Timings During Ramadan

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (Maxim News): The Congress government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, announced half-day timings for the Urdu medium schools, Urdu medium sections of parallel medium schools, and Urdu medium sections of DIETs in the state during Ramzan month.

The State government issued an order changing the school timings with new timings being 8 am to 1.30 pm till April 1.

The government made this decision after teachers of Urdu medium schools, Urdu medium sections of parallel medium schools, and Urdu medium sections of DIETs sought a change of school timings to half a day during Ramadan 2025.

According to the TMREIS vice-chairman and president, Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi‘s press release stated that the matter was taken to the government for a change of school timing during Ramadan 2025, enabling the teachers and students to devote more time for offering prayers. (Maxim News)
