Telangana Shock | Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 13 ( Maxim News): The Supreme Court has issued a key decision that has shaken the political circles of Telangana.
It has declared the appointments of Kodandaram and Aamir Ali Khan, who were appointed as MLCs under the Governor’s quota, as invalid.
The Supreme Court, which examined the petitions filed by Dasoju Shravan and Satyanarayana in this case, ruled in favor of their arguments.
According to the petitioners, these appointments were not made legally, and there were irregularities in the Governor’s recommendation process. After hearing the matter, the Supreme Court held that the appointments of Kodandaram and Aamir Ali Khan did not meet the legal standards.

The impact of the verdict is that the current MLC positions are likely to become vacant with this verdict. Analysts believe that it could once again become a topic of discussion in state politics.
It may be recalled that BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has revealed recently that after the Supreme Court verdict on the defected 10 MLAs (from BRS to Congress), he will also move to the Supreme Court on the defected MLCs who have defected from BRS to Congress; the process for the same has started.
