Telangana: Winter Chill Intensified

Telangana | Hyderabad, Dec 9 (Maxim News): The winter chill has intensified across Telangana with several districts recording night temperatures below 10 degree Celsium.

It is reported that Dongli in Kamareddy recorded the lowest temperature in the State in the last 24 hours at 5.9 degree Celsius.

Night temperatures dip below 11 degree Celsius in Hyderabad, Nyalkal in Sangareddy registered 6.6 degree Celsius, while Pochera and Bela in Adilabad recorded 7 degree Celsius and 7.3 degree Celsius respectively.

Across the State, districts that recorded night temperatures below 10 degree Celsius included Nizamabad, Sangareddy, siddipet, karimnagar, medak, Nirmal, Rajanna-Sircilla, Kamareddy, Jagtial, vikarabad, Ranga Reddy, Adilabad, medchal-Malkajgiri, mancherial and Komaram Bheem Asifabad.

It is known that Mandous, pronounced ‘man-dous’ is an Arabic word and it means treasure box and the name was reportedly picked by the United Arab Emirates. The cyclonic storm is very likely to move nearly northwestwards and cross north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts between Puducherry and Sriharikota near Mamallapuram as a cyclonic storm with a maximum sustained wind speed of 65-75 kmph gusting to 85 kmph, during midnight and early hours of Saturday.
