Tension In Warangal: Sharmila Arrested

Warangal/Hyderabad, Nov 28 (Maxim News): The YSRTP President YS Sharmila who is on the Praja Prasthanam Padyatra has been arrested by the police. TRS activists pelted stones on Sharmila’s convoy at Shankaramma Tanda in Warangal district. Sharmila’s vehicles’ windows were destroyed in the presence of the police.

TRS activists attacked the statue of YSR with petrol packets and set it on fire. This led to a fight between the activists of YSRTP and TRS. Villagers prevented the burning of YSR statues and party flexi. TRS workers tried to attack the villagers with eggs and stones, with this, she was taken to Warangal in a huge police security. In Narsampet Constituency, agitations are still going on in many areas.

TRS leaders protested against Sharmila’s comments against the TRS government headed by the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and MLA Peddi sudarshan Reddy. TRS leaders said that Sharmilas had no right to go on a padayatra in Telangana, Go back Sharmila and raised slogans on a large scale. Sharmila demanded an apology from the MLA. (Maxim News)
