Hyderabad, July 10 (Maxim News) Telangana Department of Technical Education has completed the TG ECET 2026 final phase seat allotment for diploma holders and BSc graduates seeking lateral entry admissions into engineering and pharmacy colleges across the state. Officials said 9,699 seats have been filled after the completion of both the first and final rounds of web counselling.
The announcement was made on Friday by Commissioner of Technical Education and TG ECET Counselling Convener Sridevasena, who released the final admission statistics. The TG ECET 2026 final phase seat allotment marks the conclusion of the counselling process for lateral entry admissions into the second year of undergraduate professional courses in Telangana.
TG ECET 2026 Final Phase Seat Allotment Statistics
According to the Technical Education Department, 17,768 candidates qualified in the TG ECET 2026 examination. Of them, 12,242 candidates attended certificate verification during the counselling process.
In the final phase alone, 8,274 candidates exercised 2,59,227 web options while selecting colleges and courses for admission.
The state had a total of 15,064 seats available for lateral entry admissions, including 13,767 engineering seats and 1,297 pharmacy seats. After the completion of both counselling phases, 9,699 seats have been allotted.
Engineering admissions accounted for the overwhelming majority of allotments. Out of 13,767 engineering seats, 9,667 seats were filled. However, pharmacy admissions recorded a significantly lower response, with only 32 seats filled out of the 1,297 seats available.
Officials also stated that 503 candidates secured admissions under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) reservation category during the counselling process.
The TG ECET 2026 final phase seat allotment enables diploma holders and eligible BSc graduates to gain direct admission into the second year of engineering and pharmacy degree programmes offered by colleges affiliated with universities across Telangana. The counselling process is conducted annually to facilitate lateral entry admissions and maximise seat utilisation in professional institutions.
Candidates allotted seats in the final phase are expected to complete the admission formalities within the schedule notified by the Telangana Department of Technical Education. Authorities have advised students to report to their allotted colleges on time and complete document verification and fee payment to confirm their admissions.(Maxim News)
