TGSRTC Launches ‘Hyderabad Connect’ for 373 New Colonies
Hyderabad, Dec. 10 (Maxim News) : The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced good news for residents of rapidly expanding localities and newly developed colonies across Hyderabad. To address the transportation needs of these growing areas, the corporation has launched a new initiative titled “Hyderabad Connect.”
In an official statement released on Wednesday, TGSRTC said that bus services will now be extended to 373 newly identified colonies. These services will begin operating from December, offering improved public transport access to thousands of residents.
The decision was finalized during a high-level review meeting chaired by TGSRTC MD V. Nagireddy. Officials conducted field inspections across the city’s outskirts, covering nearly 30 circles and 150 wards, to assess the commuting needs of local residents.
The corporation emphasized that the primary focus is on providing better connectivity for employees, especially IT and software professionals, travelling to major work hubs such as Hitec City, Gachibowli, Financial District, Uppal, and other employment clusters. Direct bus services from various colonies to these employment zones will be launched soon.
The “Hyderabad Connect” services will be introduced in three phases. Out of the 373 selected colonies, 243 fall under the Hyderabad Region and 130 under the Secunderabad Region.
TGSRTC said the initiative aims to ease traffic congestion, reduce dependency on private vehicles, and ensure reliable and affordable public transport for emerging neighbourhoods. (Maxim News)
