The Number Of Voters Reduced In GHMC Limits

Hyderabad, Jan 6 (Maxim News): The number of voters in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been reduced significantly. According to the final list of 2022 voter list, there were 89.34 lakh voters in the 24 Assembly Constituencies of GHMC have now come down to 84.62 voters as per the latest list.

The officials of the Election Commission of India have released the final list of district-wise voters, Officials say that Photo similar entries, change of address, and duplicate voters are the main reasons for the decrease in the number of voters. The number of votes has increased compared to the draft list announced on November 9. Even when the draft list was released, the names of those who were registered as voters in more than one area were removed.

The number of voters in the Hyderabad district has reduced from 43.67 lakhs to 41.46 lakhs as per the draft list. According to the final list released, the number of voters in the district is 42.15 lakh. More than 68 thousand voters registered their names. 3,000 names were removed. the highest number of 11,331 people registered in karwan constituency and 10,513 in Chandrayangutta. The lowest number of 758 people joined the list of voters in Cantonment.

As always, Serilingampally has the highest number of 6,44,145 voters, Quthbullapur is second with 6,12,700 votes and LB Nagar is third with 5,34,805 voters. Charminar has the lowest of 2,14,774 voters, Cantonment has 2,39,254 voters. While the number of voters in the core area ranges from 2.14 lakh to 3.32 lakhs, in the suburbs, there is 4.26 lakh to 6.44 lakh voters in other constituencies except for Maheshwaram. While there are 42.15 lakh voters in 15 Constituencies in Hyderabad, there are 42.47 lakh voters in nine Assembly Constituencies in the suburbs. The suburban constituencies have more voters than the 15 constituencies in the core area. (Maxim News)
