Hyderabad, Aug 7 (Maxim News): Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesman for the MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek), visited the Amberpet area today to inspect the ongoing construction of a railway overbridge (ROB) by the Ministry of Roads, Transport & Highways, which is being built for Rs 145 crores.

Previous Demolition of Masjid-ek-Khana

Previously, during the construction of this same bridge, the Masjid-ek-Khana was demolished in collaboration with the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) and the R&B (Roads and Buildings) Departments when K. Chandrashekar Rao was the Chief Minister of Telangana and K. T. Rama Rao was the Municipal Administration Minister.

BRS and AIMIM Inaction

Despite repeated requests and agitations, the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) government remained silent, and its allied party, the AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen), also did not take any action. To this day, the Masjid-ek-Khana has not been rebuilt. Neither Asaduddin Owaisi, MP and President of AIMIM, nor Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA for Chandrayangutta, have spoken up to save the mosque or demanded its reconstruction.

Current Threat to Masjid-e-Mohammed Ismail

Now, a ramp is being constructed to connect the ROB, and under pressure from Kishan Reddy, Central Minister, another mosque, Masjid-e-Mohammed Ismail, is facing demolition. For several days, the family members of the late Mohammed Ismail have been appealing to the Waqf Board, but they have not visited the site. As a result, the shops associated with the mosque have already been demolished, and the mosque itself is at imminent risk of being demolished.

Concerns About Muslim Safety

Amjed Ullah Khan expressed concern that since the Congress party came to power in Telangana and Revanth Reddy became the Chief Minister, the safety of Muslims in the state has deteriorated. He highlighted a rise in communal attacks, false cases being foisted on Muslim youths, and the demolition of mosques, dargahs, and graveyards by anti-social elements and government agencies.

AIMIM Leadership’s Silence

Khan questioned the silence of the AIMIM leadership regarding the Masjid-e-Mohammed Ismail in Amberpet. He pointed out their previous inaction when Muslims faced atrocities and when nine mosques were demolished during the BRS rule. He accused AIMIM of being a friendly party to the current government and remaining silent on the demolition of Masjid-e-Mohammed Ismail in Amberpet. (Maxim News)
