Tight Security Arrangements For Sri Rama Navami Procession

Hyderabad, April 5 (Maxim News): City Police Commissioner CV Anand revealed that security arrangements have been made to ensure that the Shobha Yatra on Sunday on the occasion of Sri Rama navami is held in a peaceful atmosphere.

The City Police Commissioner held a video conference on security and bandobast and directions were given to the staff.

Speaking on the occasion, the CP revealed that discussions were held with the Utsav Samiti and other department officials regarding the Shobha Yatra.

He ordered the staff to set up special surveillance at the intersections where small processions connect. He said that additional forces should be deployed in religious places and problematic areas.

He wanted staff to be kept in the mufti to prevent pickpocketing and chain snatching. Additional CP Vikram singh Mann, Special Branch DCP S. Chaitanya Kumar, IT Cell DCP Pushpa, zonal DCPs and ACPs participated in the meeting.

Rachakonda CP Sudheer Babu held a coordination meeting with DCPs and ACPs in the commissionerate on Friday to discuss the precautions to be taken as part of the security arrangements for Navami.

He said that steps should be taken to ensure that the celebrations are peaceful with the help of the peace committee members. CP Sudheer Babu issued orders to close the toddy and liquor shops in the commissionerate.

The sale of liquor has also been banned in bars, restaurants and clubs. He said that a ban on the sale of liquor is being imposed from 10 am to 10 pm on Sunday. (Maxim News)
