TITA To Organize Digital Literacy Program In Gadwal
Hyderabad, June 26 (Maxim News): Shifting its focus towards government schools besides higher learning colleges, Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has further its skill development program in Jogulamba Gadwal district. The week long training program aims at skill development among students of government schools. Learned IT professionals from Hyderabad will stay back on site and train the school kids the basics of computer and IT. TITA members have appealed interested IT professionals to associate with it as a mentor in this program. Similar program was organized earlier in Wanaparty district which won accolades from district collector and other officials. A digital digithon Yatra was organized in Wanaparthy on June 16 and 17 for improving digital literacy among government school kids. It ended with 12,139 school kids trained under digital literacy.
A similar rally will be held in Gadwal from June 29 and 30. IT professionals will visit government schools and educated 8th and 9th standard students on IT. About 12329 students of 124 government schools will get 16 hour training during the program. They will learn basic computer, Internet usage, E-mail, Cashless transactions, Google Maps, searching and other topics.
The IT professionals will stay with the students and discuss various other life skills with them including entrepreneurship. Almost 150 techies are ready to leave for Gadwal for this program. TITA global president Sundeep Kumar Makthala on this occasion said that this program was designed to aware the government school kids about new opportunities of employment. He said that TITA was taking up this program with the help of district administration.
The training team will stay back at government residential schools during the program. He further said that TITA intended to start Technology Innovation and Incubation club in each government school in near future.
This club comprising of two students and one teacher will work with TITA leadership team. TITA members will work as mentors for these clubs. He appealed the interested IT professionals to join this program via below link http://bit.ly/digithonteacher. (Maxim News)
