Iran Lashes Out At Germany, Warning It Has No Right To Speak On Human Rights

Tehran/Internet/Hyderabad, Jan 14 (Maxim News): It is known that protests have been taking place in Iran against the government for the past two weeks. They are calling for the resignation of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s statement that the Iranian government is in its final stages at such a time. He criticized Germany for not having the right to speak out on human rights issues. He said that the dual policies followed by Germany in the past few years have destroyed the country’s credibility.

He criticized Germany for praising Israel when it attacked Iran last year. He expressed anger that Germany remained silent when the United States recently kidnapped a head of state (referring to Maduro). He said that Germany’s response to human rights was illogical. Meanwhile, Iran International reported that 12,000 people have died in the clashes in Iran so far. The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency reported that the protests continued in more than 600 locations in 31 provinces across the country.

The United Nations High Commission for Human Rights has said that it is very difficult if such violent incidents continue in Iran. It has suggested that Iranian citizens must listen to their just demands. On the other hand, more than 10,000 protesters have been arrested in Iran. There are concerns that many of them may face the death penalty. (Maxim News)
