Hyderabad, Sept. 19: The Vinayaka Trust Bhavan in Warangal’s Shivanagar held a grand Dhanalakshmi Puja on Friday as part of Ganapati Navaratrulu celebrations.
The Ganesha idol was decorated with currency note bundles valued at Rs 1.93 crore.
The unusual decoration attracted large crowds of devotees to the mandapam.
The Vinayaka Trust Bhavan has been organising the Dhanalakshmi Puja during Ganapati Navaratrulu for several years.
Last year, the idol was decorated with currency notes worth Rs 1.51 crore.
This year, organisers added another Rs 42 lakh, taking the total value to Rs 1.93 crore.
Dhanalakshmi Puja Draws Devotees in Warangal
The currency bundles were arranged around the Ganesha idol and became a major attraction for visitors.
Along with the Dhanalakshmi Puja, organisers conducted a Ganapati Homam and annadanam.
Bhajans and other cultural programmes were also held as part of the celebrations.
The festivities turned Vasavi Line in Shivanagar into a busy gathering point.
Devotees arrived in large numbers to have darshan of the specially decorated Ganesha idol.
Families and groups of worshippers also participated in the prayers and other programmes.
The Dhanalakshmi Puja was among the major attractions of this year’s Ganapati Navaratrulu celebrations in Warangal.
