TMC MP Smoked E-Cigarette In Parliament: BJP Allegations

Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec 11 (Maxim News): BJP MP Anurag Thakur has accused a Trinamool Congress MP of smoking an e-cigarette in Parliament. He raised the issue with Speaker Om Birla in the Lok Sabha. However, Speaker Birla said that action will be taken against the person who smoked the e-cigarette. The BJP MP raised the issue during a supplementary question during the Question Hour. MP Anurag asked Speaker Birla whether e-cigarettes are allowed in the House. He replied that no.

However, for the past few days, MP Thakur has accused the TMC MP of smoking e-cigarettes in the House. Many BJP members demanded action against the opposition MP. After heavy sloganeering, Speaker Birla calmed down the members. He asked them to behave calmly. He said that if any written complaint is filed, then action will be taken against that MP. E-cigarettes were banned in India a few years ago. However, according to social media rumors, it is known that TMC’s Mahua Maitri is smoking e-cigarettes in Parliament. (Maxim News)
