On June 15, 2017, India introduced daily revisions in diesel prices, a shift from the previous system of bi-weekly price changes.   • New Delhi: ₹87.67 (No change)
  • Kolkata: ₹91.82 (No change)
  • Mumbai: ₹90.03 (No change)
  • Chennai: ₹92.39 (Decreased by ₹0.42)
  • Gurgaon: ₹88.10 (Increased by ₹0.25)
  • Noida: ₹88.13 (Increased by ₹0.32)
  • Bangalore: ₹88.99 (No change)
  • Bhubaneswar: ₹92.96 (Increased by ₹0.45)
  • Chandigarh: ₹82.45 (No change)
  • Hyderabad: ₹95.70 (No change)
  • Jaipur: ₹89.93 (Decreased by ₹0.28)
  • Lucknow: ₹87.81 (Decreased by ₹0.17)
  • Patna: ₹92.26 (Decreased by ₹0.16)
  • Thiruvananthapuram: ₹96.21 (Increased by ₹0.03)

While diesel prices have remained stable in cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, there have been minor fluctuations in cities like Chennai, Gurgaon, Noida, and Bhubaneswar. Chennai experienced a decrease of ₹0.42 per liter, while Gurgaon and Noida saw an increase of ₹0.25 and ₹0.32, respectively. Bhubaneswar recorded the highest increase at ₹0.45, while Thiruvananthapuram saw a small rise of ₹0.03.

  • Noida: ₹94.98 (Increased by ₹0.27)
  • Bangalore: ₹102.92 (No change)
  • Bhubaneswar: ₹101.39 (Increased by ₹0.46)
  • Chandigarh: ₹94.30 (No change)
  • Hyderabad: ₹107.46 (No change)
  • Jaipur: ₹104.41 (Decreased by ₹0.31)
  • Lucknow: ₹94.69 (Decreased by ₹0.15)

While prices in cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai have remained stable, some cities have experienced slight changes. Chennai saw a decrease of ₹0.43, while Gurgaon and Noida reported an increase of ₹0.27 per liter. Bhubaneswar experienced the largest increase at ₹0.46, while Thiruvananthapuram had a modest rise of ₹0.03.

Despite the regular fluctuations, the significant disparity in petrol prices across cities can largely be attributed to state-specific taxes and transportation costs. Fuel prices in larger cities like Mumbai and Hyderabad are typically higher due to additional costs associated with transportation and distribution.
