Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry announced the winners of the Tourism Junction Jewels Photo Contest. The initiative focused on Hyderabad’s creatively designed traffic junctions and public art. The FTCCI Tourism Committee organised the contest to highlight urban design and tourism value.

The award ceremony will take place on March 16, 2026. The venue is JS Krishna Murthy Hall at Federation House in Hyderabad. R. V. Karnan, Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, will attend as Chief Guest. He will present the prizes to the winners.

Meanwhile, a panel of jury members and photography professionals evaluated the entries. They reviewed photographs that captured public art, sculptures, and installations across the city. The contest aimed to promote awareness of Hyderabad’s visual landmarks.

Rajani Kanth, photographer journalist from Namaste Telangana, won the first prize. His photograph shows a sculpture of children playing. The artwork stands along the Narsingi Kokapet stretch of the Outer Ring Road. Architect Kumara Swamy Goud created the installation. It reflects the cultural spirit and everyday life of Telangana.

Meanwhile, Nomula Rajesh Reddy from Sakshi Telugu Newspaper secured the second prize. His image features a golden sculpture of a human head held between two hands. The artwork stands along the same corridor. It symbolises thought, awareness, and reflection. The design also encourages commuters to observe their surroundings.

Later, Mogilishetty Sandhya won the third prize. She is an amateur photographer and a mother of two. Her image shows an art installation near Shilpakala Vedika in Madhapur. The sculpture depicts human figures lifting a metal globe. It represents unity and teamwork.

The jury also selected five consolation winners. These include Abuja Srinivas from Eenadu and G Balaswamy from Sakshi. Ganesan Ponnambalam, Shalini Jain from Telangana Photographic Society, and Aavula Srinivas from Eenadu also received recognition.

Prakash Ammanabolu and D Ramchandram from the FTCCI Tourism Committee spoke about the initiative. They said the contest encouraged people to explore Hyderabad’s junctions. They also said it promoted appreciation of installations, fountains, murals, and beautification projects.

The organisers announced cash prizes for the winners. The first prize carries ₹10,000. The second prize carries ₹7,500. The third prize carries ₹5,000. Each consolation winner will receive ₹1,000.

The event will bring together FTCCI members, participants, and photography professionals. It will also promote Hyderabad’s urban art and tourism potential. FTCCI has invited Tourism Committee members and media representatives to attend the ceremony.
