Hyderabad, May 3 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leaders Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, TPCC working president Kusuma Kumar and former TPCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah here on Friday visited the 48-hour hunger strike of NSUI and Youth Congress leaders and expressed solidarity with them.
Addressing mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan later, Venkat Reddy alleged that 25 innocent students of Intermediate lost their lives due to the failure of the State government. He said he never thought that students of the State would die even after the formation of the Telangana State. He also alleged that the governance had gone haywire during the last five years under the TRS party rule.
He also alleged that the incident of such a magnitude took place due to the non-formation of State cabinet for three months. He made it clear that the CM should own responsibility for the same. He wondered whether the CM didn’t have time to visit the family members of the students, who committed suicide. He also alleged that KCR was showing more interest only on buying MLAs and not bothering about the Intermediate students. He ridiculed KCR how could he become Prime Minister when he failed to hold the Intermediate exams properly. (Maxim News)
