Tragic Road Accident in Madhya Pradesh: Seven Kumbh Mela Pilgrims Killed, Six Injured
Hyderabad, Feb 11 (Maxim News): A tragic road accident took place in Madhya Pradesh, where a mini-bus carrying Kumbh Mela pilgrims was hit by a cement truck near Sihora. The accident left seven people dead and six others seriously injured.
The victims were returning to Hyderabad after attending the Kumbh Mela. The deceased are believed to be from Karthikeya Nagar and Raghavendra Nagar in Nacharam. They have been identified as:
- Naveen
- Balakrishna
- Santosh
- Shashikant
- Ravi
- Anand
- Mallareddy
Accident Details
The mini-bus (AP29W 1525) was part of a group of three buses carrying pilgrims. At the time of the accident, there were 14 passengers in the vehicle. Local authorities, including Jabalpur SP and the District Collector, quickly arrived at the scene to oversee the rescue efforts.
CM Chandrababu Naidu Offers Condolences
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives. While attending a meeting at the AP Secretariat, officials informed him about the tragedy.
The Chief Minister has directed officials to coordinate with the Madhya Pradesh government to provide immediate medical care to the injured and extend necessary support to the victims’ families. He has also asked for regular updates on the situation.
Authorities are making arrangements for the medical treatment of the injured and the transportation of the deceased. (Maxim News)
